What about the other dragon clans?

Question: Will there be series for other dragon clans, such as Glenlough, Snowridge, Skyhunter, or Northcastle?

Answer: The short answer? No. However, they will be included in future stories. Let me elaborate. 🙂

I originally spun off the Lochguard dragons to help keep storylines straight. Finn and his family were such strong characters that I knew the rest of his clan would interesting to follow, too. This isn’t to say the other clans are boring—far from it. (You’ll see soon enough in Aiding the Dragon.) However, splitting off my dragon books into five series would limit my storyline possibilities and really stretch the wait time between books. I love my dragon-shifters, but I enjoy writing other series, too. 🙂

So, I’m doing mini-story arcs within existing series. Aiding the Dragon is the first part of a two part storyline on Glenlough. Aiding has a happy ending, don’t worry! But the background story takes two books to complete. I am going to do the same with Snowridge in the not-too-distant future. Kai and Jane’s novella will help set up that story arc!

I have plans for Skyhunter (clan in Southern England) and Northcastle (Northern Irish one), but I don’t know when I’ll get to them. Of course, it greatly depends if my readers continue to support me or not. <3 I hope that answers the question! The mini-story arcs extend the series’ overall life, in my opinion. I hate when a series gets stale and it seems things should just end. (I could probably end the Stonefire series in two books if I had to, hence why I’m expanding the universe.) This should prevent that problem. 😀

New Audiobook! The Lochguard Dragons have arrived

The wait is finally over!

Ready for a flirty, sexy Scottish dragon-shifter hero and his yummy accent? The first book in the Lochguard Highland Dragons series is finally out in audiobook format!

Narrated by Matthew Lloyd Davies, The Dragon’s Dilemma is over 7 hours long and is chock-full of sexy Scots and their accents. It’s available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes. Check it out:

About Epilogues

I tend to get the same questions asked over and over again. To help answer them, I’m going to post one with a response every once in a while. Here’s one for today:

Q: Why isn’t there always an epilogue with a baby?

A: For some reason, there are readers who want everything tied up at the end of every book. My series are more like sagas, in that stories carry on throughout the series. But the real reason I don’t always have an ending with a baby is because it’d be boring and it’s really difficult to keep track of. Since my books don’t pick up where the epilogues end (or we’d be like five years in the future by now), I then have to remember what is happening when I said it would be happening via the epilogue’s foreshadowing. Plus, I have to backtrack and pretend no one knows what the baby’s gender is, etc. As we’ve seen with Finn and Arabella, it can be fun to see it as it unfolds and follow it along in suspense.

Also, not every story ends with a baby because in real life, it doesn’t work that way. Some women have jobs, some have difficulty getting pregnant, and some just can’t have or don’t want kids. So I try to reflect this in my stories. 🙂

I hope that answers some questions about epilogues and where they end in my books. Writing follow-up novellas gives me more room to play and we get more of the characters and their lives, too. <3

Future Couples in my Dragon-shifter World

I get asked a lot about which characters will have stories in the future. While I never know what order they will appear (my characters are stubborn and usually don’t tell me until the book before, lol), I do know which ones will have stories. Some of these characters will have books together, but I’m not telling you which ones. 😀

For Future Stories in Lochguard and Stonefire:

    Hudson Wells (Charlie’s mate)
Gwendolen Price (Snowridge, met her in Surrendering)
Alistair Boyd (he is one of the most requested, lol)
    Kaylee MacDonald (Gina’s sister)
Cat MacAllister (all of the MacAllister siblings, if I can manage it)
Lachlan MacKintosh (he’s in Dragon Warrior)
    Killian O’Shea (Glenlough’s head Protector)
Trahern Lewis (Welsh doctor, met in Cured)
Emily Davies (human doctor, met in Cured)
    Alice Darby (Evie’s friend)
    Chase McFarland (Grant’s brother)
    Gillian McFarland (Grant’s mum)
Max Holbrook (archaeologist in Dragon’s Heart)
    Layla MacFie (Lochguard’s doctor)
    Iris Mahajan (Lochguard’s best tracker)
Arjun (human guard in Dragon Warrior)

Whew, and maybe a few more from the other clans. I’m going to be writing for quite a while, lol.

My upcoming releases will feature these couples:

The Dragon Warrior – Faye MacKenzie and Grant McFarland
Aiding the Dragon – Aaron Caruso and Teagan O’Shea (Irish clan leader)

Are there any characters I didn’t mention that you’d like to see? Let me know in the comments. (And no, the leader of the dragon hunters is not getting a book. I’ve been asked that before!)

Some Answers about my Audiobooks

Lately I’ve received a lot of questions about releasing the rest of my books into audio format. To clear it up, here are some questions and answers:

Q: When will the next Stonefire Dragons story be in audio?
A: The seventh Stonefire Dragons book, Surrendering to the Dragon, is currently in production. My narrator is an actor and certain times of year are really busy for him. Because of this, production slows down for a bit and then we amp it back up!

Q: When will the Lochguard Highland Dragons books be in audio?
A: The first book, The Dragon’s Dilemma, is next in line for production once we finish Surrendering to the Dragon. Since the two series overlap with one another, we’re going to catch up with Lochguard before getting to Cured by the Dragon. (Also, Matthew Lloyd Davies will be narrating this series, too.)

Q: Will your Asylums for Magical Threats book ever be in audio?
A: Yes! However, I’m not sure when just yet.

Q: What about your new sci-fi romance series coming out in January 2017? Will it be in audio?
A: Yes. Once I have the final edit of my story (The Conquest) I’ll be looking for a narrator. I hope to release it within a few months of the ebook and paperback.

Is there something you wanted answered but didn’t find? Then feel free to leave a comment and I’ll try to answer them.

New Release: Cured by the Dragon

CuredbytheDragon_450pxtallPeople have been clamoring for Dr. Sid’s story for quite a while. Well, the wait is over! Cured by the Dragon is here and is about Sid and Gregor.

A female dragon-shifter without a dragon. A dragonman who sealed off his heart after his mate’s death. Together, can Sid and Gregor find the happy ending they both deserve? Cured by the Dragon is a full-length book of approximately 69,000 words and some are saying it’s their favorite Stonefire book to date. Click on your vendor of choice to find out why:

Tentative Release Schedule Through Summer 2017

I often get asked about when the next book in XYZ series is coming out, so to help answer that, here is my tentative release schedule through next summer. Keep in mind the dates could change.

October 6, 2016 – Cured by the Dragon / Sid and Gregor (Stonefire Dragons #8)
January 12, 2017 – The Conquest / Taryn and Kason (Kelderan Runic Warriors #1) –> My new sci-fi romance series
February 16, 2017 – The Dragon Warrior / Faye and Grant (Lochguard Highland Dragons #4)
May 18, 2017 – Aiding the Dragon / Aaron Caruso and Teagan O’Shea (Stonefire Dragons #9)
August 24, 2017 – The Barren / About Vala and Thorin (Kelderan Runic Warriors #2)
Oct 2017 – Title TBD / A follow-up novella for one of my dragon couples

In addition to the above, I’ll probably be working on AMT #5 toward the end of the year.

I hope that answers some of your questions! Oh, and there will be at least one more book in the Cascade Shifters series (about Nate and Dani), but I’m not sure when I’ll get to it. Just know I haven’t forgotten about them. 🙂
